Fresno Employment Lawyer Kevin Schwin Wins $7.8 Million Wage and Hour Case
In July 2016 the Fresno County Superior Court entered judgment in favor of a class of over 4,000 current and former Behavioral Interventionists working for Comprehensive Educational Services, Inc. (aka "ACES") in the State of California. Behavioral Interventionists provide tutoring and behavioral modification services to autistic children throughout the state. The lawsuit alleged the company failed to reimburse its Behavioral Interventionists for travel and fax expenses incurred, failed to permit adequate rest and meal breaks, failed to pay employees for all hours worked, and engaged in unlawful time shaving.
The parties settled the case after years of protracted litigation, and final judgment was entered for just over $7.8 million.
Kevin Schwin, of counsel to Peck-Law, represented the employees.
